This original watercolour painting captures Blackpool Grand Theatre and Church Street, right at the heart of the town centre.
Blackpool Grand Theatre and Church Street
Within a stone’s throw of the seafront, it’s one of the seaside towns best loved landmarks. See the historic features of the famous building in the street scene of today, with residents and shoppers milling about in the Blackpool sunshine.
At a cost of £20,000 it took just nine months to build. Completed in July 1894, it was designed by leading Victorian theatre architect Frank Matcham.
Like many old buildings it’s had a chequered past and sailed close to closing on more than one occasion. But today it’s a fantastic facility for local people and tourists alike with an astonishing variety of shows right through the year.
Prints from our original paintings, drawings and designs make perfect presents for anyone who loves the Fylde Coast. Seaside gifts for Christmas, birthdays and just because. Why not show someone that you care?
The original watercolour painting is drawn by hand right here on the Fylde Coast by our artist, Derek Littlewood.
