Exhibition at Blackpool Grand Theatre

We’re delighted to have been given the opportunity to exhibit a range of our paintings and images in the Theatre Bar at Blackpool Grand.

Theatre Bar at Blackpool Grand

The 10 that we’ve chosen are views of Blackpool, other local scenes, and seaside favourites, including our new, original watercolour of Church Street featuring the Grand Theatre itself.

We’re delighted to have launched a new range of art greetings cards which are also on sale over the bar. Before launching the new range we’ve spent a lot of time researching papers to make sure that the quality of the stock enhanced the quality of reproduction and printing – we’ve settled on a textured watercolour type board and at A5 size it makes for an impressive card which is blank inside for your own message.

Our grateful thanks go to our friends at The Grand for this opportunity, and to express our thanks we also donated a copy of our new painting of The Grand for the Friends to use in their fundraising.

New Display at The Venue, Cleveleys

Next time you go for a bite to eat, coffee or a night out at The Venue on Cleveleys seafront, you’ll be able to have a look at a good selection of our range of masterpieces as, with thanks to our friends there, the walls are now adorned with a display of our paintings and photos.

The Venue on Cleveleys

We’ve tried to include all your favourites – of course the photos include the iconic Mary’s Shell and the graphical images include ‘Features of Cleveleys’ – along with others from the local range.

Watercolour paintings include local scenes like the ‘Heritage Tram to Blackpool Tower’ and Marsh Mill Windmill, along with imaginary scenes of fairgrounds, beach huts and ice cream vans.

The prints at The Venue show off our new larger frame range – an A3 print in a 20″ x 16″ frame in a choice of black or white – to really set off the image on the wall of your home or business.

The Seaside Emporium is an online shop, so if you’d like to have a look before purchasing at the amazing detail in the original illustrations which is reproduced faithfully in our high quality prints, then call into The Venue, Cleveleys and take a look.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Here at the Seaside Emporium we obviously buy new packaging materials to make sure that our goods arrive with you in perfect condition, but we also aim to recycle plastic packaging/bubble wrap and similar where ever we can.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

You might not give a thought to where the plastics which you have used end up, but here at the Seaside Emporium we are part of a very small environmental charity called Rossall Beach Residents and Community Group, which has opened our eyes about waste and how we can take steps to reduce it where possible.

We are all consumers – it’s very difficult not to be – but without being an eco-warrior there are small, simple things that we can all do to reduce our impact on the environment around us – and re-using bubble wrap is just one of them.

Our community group started out life with a simple aim of keeping a beautiful stretch of beach clean. One thing always leads to another and it’s amazing how much you learn just by being interested. Plastics are derived from oil which is a finite resource, and plastic never really goes away when it’s been used – it just breaks down into smaller and smaller parts until it’s microscopic – but it’s still there. Which is why we re-use bubble wrap!

If you are interested in the world around you and you are near enough to Cleveleys to take part, you’d be very welcome to come and join the Rossall Beach Group. It’s just an ordinary group of people doing their best to make a difference. Try it!

Perfect Present for Expats

Whether your friend has moved to Middlesex or Melbourne, why don’t you buy them a perfect reminder of the place where they once called home this Christmas, and get them their very own original view of a favourite Fylde Coast landmark?

Heritage Tram

We can post direct to the person who you are buying the gift for, or to you. If you’re ordering for a UK recipient just fill their address in on the order form. We won’t send a copy invoice with the goods, so be sure to keep your email receipt.

Overseas postage is extra – and it makes a difference where in the world you want to send it to. Just bob an email to with details of what you would like to order, and the address (including recipients equivalent of a ‘post code’) and we will let you know a price for delivery.

In this instance we will ask you to pay by bank transfer if you use online banking, send a cheque in the post, or we can take card payments over the phone. We will of course issue you with an invoice/receipt for your goods.

What to buy for that Special Someone...

It’s an endless dilemma – what to buy those hard-to-buy-for friends and relatives. What do you buy for the person who has everything?

What about one of the beautiful images from the Seaside Emporium?

Your friend or relative might have once lived here on the Fylde Coast – maybe they emigrated to Australia or New Zealand, or even just to Stoke-on-Trent… As we get older we seem to get more interested in the place where we came from – I know that I have.

If you’re giving a gift, what about one of our new presentation gift packs?

Collectors box

Hand your friend or loved one a beautifully presented print of an original watercolour painting or photo, wrapped in tissue paper and packed in a rigid, matt black presentation gift box and externally bound with a branded paper strap.

You know the taste of the person who you are buying for – maybe they would prefer a print from an original watercolour painting of the place of their childhood. Did they enjoy rolling eggs down The Mount at Fleetwood at Easter, or would they prefer one of Fleetwood’s other historic spots, or maybe they love Lytham windmill.

Would they prefer something more modern – in which case they’d love our popular ‘Features of’ range – with one for each of the towns on the Fylde Coast, including Blackpool, Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Lytham and St Annes.

Features of Blackpool

Although today everyone is a photographer (and I like to think I take a decent photo with my own iPhone) you still can’t beat the twin advantages of having the right camera equipment and the skill to be able to use it. We’ve got just a very small selection of photos in our shop – if there’s a particular view you’d like that isn’t there just ask. Here’s an eternally popular sight – Mary’s Shell on Cleveleys beach. Can you image that anyone who liked Cleveleys wouldn’t like to own this?

Mary's Shell

Images are all available as plain prints, mounted or framed.

All of our products would make a perfect gift – at Christmas or any other time of the year for that matter. If you’d like a different size, shape, format or something that even we haven’t thought of yet – just get in touch, we’re always more than happy to help.

Happy shopping!
